I will never go back to norton after having serious problems with it several years ago. It was ok as a virus finder/remover but i found that the program took over my pc, and actually now that i think about it it did miss virus’s that other problems

i now use avg internet security 8.5 and ive never looked back

by the way dont use McAfee either

Glad you think code review is important. Ideally code review can be a standard part of your workday just like checking your email. A good code review tool supports asynchronous code review, and doesn’t require meetings or pair programming to give you effective reviews.

Norton Symantic was once a preferred product for security and antivirus services.

Now it is just a tired brand name running on dwindling goodwill. There are more and better options available now than there were 10 or 15 years ago for security and antivirus concerns.

Norton is an incredible resource hog. It runs uscheduled and disruptive scans at any time it chooses (including the middle of the work day) without options.

If you are at all unfamiliar with your computer and the nature of Norton functionality, you will find that Norton locks up your computer and causes problems not unlike the symptoms of virus and intrusion that you are wishing to eliminate and avoid.

I will never use Norton again — there are better alternatives. Shop for services that provide good security without sacrificing your personal options and the ability to control your own computer as you wish.
