Glad you think code review is important. Ideally code review can be a standard part of your workday just like checking your email. A good code review tool supports asynchronous code review, and doesn't require meetings or pair programming to give you effective reviews.

>When doing a code review, remember that it is not YOUR code or HIS code or HER code. It is THE code.

Agreed. The review is of the code, *not* the coder. Additional tips on the social effects of code review available here: http://blog.smartbear.com/the_smartbear_blog/2009/03/tips-for-developers-social-effects-of-code-review-part-3.html

Norton Symantic was once a preferred product for security and antivirus services.

Now it is just a tired brand name running on dwindling goodwill. There are more and better options available now than there were 10 or 15 years ago for security and antivirus concerns.

Norton is an incredible resource hog. It runs uscheduled and disruptive scans at any time it chooses (including the middle of the work day) without options.

If you are at all unfamiliar with your computer and the nature of Norton functionality, you will find that Norton locks up your computer and causes problems not unlike the symptoms of virus and intrusion that you are wishing to eliminate and avoid.

I will never use Norton again -- there are better alternatives. Shop for services that provide good security without sacrificing your personal options and the ability to control your own computer as you wish.

I am the Director of Marketing at Bravestorm (we make the BoldChat software listed above.) We recently commissioned a study to compare top live chat vendors. No such study was available so we commissioned an Ex-Gartner analyst to perform the analysis. A copy of the study can be downloaded for free at www.livechatcomparison.com. The study does not include pricing information but it does have a thorough analysis of feature sets.

I share my apartment with my cousin who happens to be an architect (the one who designs buildings). Now it gets funny when i tell this to my co-workers or friends from my fraternity and they think he's a software architect. I have to clear the things up before they start asking about technology. So usually i say, He is an architect, literal-old-meaning architect, who designs buildings :)
